Denver, CO - The Majority Institute, formerly known as Project New America, released recent statewide research conducted in New Mexico that shows approval ratings for Republican Governor Susana Martinez continue on a downward trajectory while support for U.S. Sen. Tom Udall remains strong.
When asked to rate job approval, just 32% of New Mexicans believed that Martinez was doing an either excellent or good job, while just 1% didn’t have an opinion. The same respondents rated Udall’s job approval with 55% as excellent or good, and 4% without an opinion.
The research by GQRR has a margin of error rate of +/-4.9 percentage points, and was conducted between October 12-18, 2017 for PNA/TMI. Live callers contacted 400 likely General Election voters by both cell and landline phones.
